VeryDarkMan Vs China Ross, Who Blinks First  Once friends and business partners, VeryDarkMan and China Ross are at each other over business deals gone wrong. A Chinese businessman known as Ross Boss has responded to accusations of scamming a Nigerian customer, allegations brought to light by Nigerian social media activist VeryDarkMan. The dispute revolves around an alleged scam involving a full container of goods and features a complex exchange of positions between VeryDarkMan and Ross Boss. VeryDarkMan had previously promoted Ross Boss as a trusted business associate for Nigerians seeking to import goods from China.  In October 2025, VeryDarkMan publicly withdrew his endorsement of Ross Boss. Police Handled Nnamdi Kanu Protest Professional - PCRC The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), has commended the inspector-general of police (IGP), the Police management team, and the commissioner of police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), for the professional and constitutional manner in which they handled the protest for the release of Nnamdi Kanu on Monday. In a statement signed by the national chairman, PCRC, Ibrahim Olaniyan, the national leadership of PCRC noted that the swift and measured response of the Police in ensuring law and order during the protest reflected the renewed professionalism, restraint, and respect for human rights under the current Police administration. Olaniyan further commended the prompt prosecution of those arrested within 24 hours, in accordance with constitutional provisions, describing it as a clear demonstration of the Force’s commitment to due process and the rule of law.

NDLEA Launches Online Portal For Drug Integrity And Test, Visa Clearance Certificate The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has launched a digital platform that will make its drug integrity test and visa clearance processes seamless, more accessible and ultimately curb the scourge of substance abuse and illicit drug trafficking in Nigeria. The portal was unveiled at a press conference to flag off the digitization of the agency’s Drug Integrity Test and Visa E-Administration System (DITViCAS) on Tuesday. Chairman/chief executive officer of the NDLEA, Brig Gen Mohamed Buba Marwa (rtd), noted that the symbolic launch signifies “a paradigm shift in our fight against the scourge of substance abuse and illicit drug trafficking, a moment where enforcement meets efficiency, and commitment merges with cutting-edge technology.” Cynthia Agbo.

PVC Collection Exercise Begins October 22 In Anambra  Ahead of the November 2025 governorship election in Anambra State, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has asked registered voters to come forward for the collection of their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). The registered voters are expected to collect there PVCs  beginning from Wednesday to Sunday, October 22 – 26, 2025.

Late ARISE News Anchor, Sommie Buried In Anambra   The remains of the late ARISE News anchor, Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, have been buried amid tears at Agulu, Anaocha local government area of Anambra State with the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in attendance on Saturday. The deceased, fondly called ‘Sommie’ died during an armed robbery attack at her residence in Abuja in September. The remains of the journalist were interred after the funeral Mass at St Theresa’s Catholic Church, Agulu, in the presence of her family members, relatives, friends, colleagues, and other dignitaries.
